

Boris Goldberg, 73, of Wheeling, IL, was born in his favorite city in the world, vibrant Odessa, to Baya and Yaakov Goldberg. Boris completed technical school in architectural engineering, and worked as a bridge engineer, instrumental in the construction of the BAM trans-Siberian railway project. He married his wife in 1976 and proudly welcomed 3 beautiful girls into their family. Boris and his family emigrated as refugees in 1991 to America during the fall of the Soviet Union, and made the Chicagoland area his home. He spent his life following his passions of adventure, spoiling his wife, children, and grandchildren, reading, dancing, and giving to others with all his heart.
Boris is survived by his beloved wife, Shulamis, with whom he shared an incredible 49 years of a love filled marriage. Boris was a loving father of children, Paula Rudnik (married to Michael Rudnik), Anna Goldberg, Irina Goldberg (married to Eugene Feygin); Adoring grandfather of grandchildren Joshua Rudnik, Daniel Rudnik, and Issa Feygin. Treasured sibling of the late Mark Goldberg, brother in law to Yevgeniya Dukova, and caring uncle of nieces Yana Farrington and Veronika Goldberg. Boris will be deeply missed by the many friends and family whose lives he has touched over the course of his life.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 21, 11:00am at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
