Dan Dalberg, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 24, 2025. He was a loving husband to Wendie (née Traines), and the proud father of Emily and Amanda. He was pre-deceased by his mother Mildred, father Gus, and sister Judy (Lichtig).
Dan grew up in South Bend, Indiana, where he became a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football. He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and served in the US Marine Reserves. He enjoyed a 25 year career in the Public Relations Department of Allstate.
Dan had an avid, lifelong interest in politics and supported progressive causes. He was always proud of his work in the sixties for Indiana State Representative John Brademas.
He was a friendly and gregarious man who became a regular everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 3, 3PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Service will be livestreamed. Donations in his memory can be made to Thresholds (www.thresholds.org).
