David S. Cole, 97, beloved son of the late Emanuel and Bessie Cohen; fond husband of the late Perle Cole, née Braun; devoted father of Jeffrey (Jill) Cole, Judy Cole, and Bob (Elaine) Cole; proud "Papa" of Jillian Cole, Jacob Murphy (Jenn Bahm), Stephanie Cole (Susie Wonsover), Courtney Cole, and David (Brittney) Cole; treasured great-grandfather of Reid Pollack, Olive, Ruby, Piper, Shelby, and Nova Cole; dear brother of Louis (Ursula) Cole, Ann (the late Walter) Nathan, the late Rose (the late Harry) Koulind, the late Sylvia (the late Seymour) Harris, the late Dr. Bernard (Iris) Cole; cherished uncle of many. David's family wishes to express their gratitude to his loving, nurturing, and patient caregiver, Lourdes Palma. David was a very proud WWII Veteran. He loved golf. He was a good friend and mentor to a lot of people. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th at 2:00 pm at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, IL.
