Donna J. Tropstein, a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt, has left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. With a dedicated career spanning 25 years as an educator at CPS, Donna's commitment to shaping young minds has left a lasting legacy, as enduring as the stars themselves.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Donna was a spirited world traveler who found delight in exploring new horizons alongside her lifelong confidante, Doris. She was the beloved daughter of Irving and Marie Tropstein, sister to Allen Tropstein, and Frances Bock – all of whom preceded her in death, yet live on in the memories she forged. Like a Starfleet officer embarking on an intrepid journey, Donna ventured into the unknown with a heart full of courage.
Donna's nurturing presence extended to her role as a loving aunt to Jennifer (Darren) Grobner, Timothy (Brenda) Bock, Kathleen (Oscar) Curiel, and Jenni (Brian) Costanzo. She embraced her role as a great aunt to Adam Curiel, Grace and Bradyn Grobner, Ej and Ava Bock, and Francesca Costanzo, infusing their lives with care and warmth, much like the stars that light up the night sky.
Donna's love for her family was unwavering, and she had an uncanny ability to weave joy into every family gathering, often graced by her culinary prowess. Her infectious laughter and captivating storytelling added a unique charm to these occasions, reminding us all to cherish the moments that live long in our hearts.
As we bid farewell, we remember Donna in the words of a beloved cultural icon: "Live long and prosper." Just as a star's light continues to shine brightly long after it's gone, Donna's radiant smile and hearty laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Now, in the spirit of her adventurous soul, we say, "Beam me up, Scotty," as she journeys beyond the horizon, into the universe of eternity.
