Earl Burt Abramson

Abramson, Earl, 90, passed away on February 10th, 2024, peacefully with his family by his side. Son of the late Jules and Helen Abramson, beloved husband of 52 years of the late Sharon (née Altman) Abramson. Survived in admiration by his 3 children David (Leslie) Abramson, Cindy (Larry) Shanker, and Mark (Debbi) Abramson. Proud grandfather of Scott (Brittany) Abramson, Jaclyn Abramson (Eric Kulikauskas), Dayna Abramson (Jared Smith), Jordan (Erin) Shanker, Tamara (David) Greenberg, Rebecca Shanker, Jeremy (Dena) Abramson, and Kiera Abramson. Adoring great grandfather of Jacob, Abbie, Scarlett, Sebastian, Dawson, Jackson, Madison, Layla, and Noah. Devoted partner, for the past 15 years, of Sheila Schlaggar.

Earl was the esteemed lifetime leader of Rapid Displays. He was the former Chairman of Rush North Shore Medical Center and Chairman of the Holocaust Education Foundation. Earl was the substantial philanthropist to many other worthwhile causes.

Friends and family will gather for a funeral service for Earl that will be held at Temple Jeremiah, 937 North Happ Road, Northfield, Illinois, on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 at 1:00pm. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Hgts, Illinois 60004.
