Eugene Propp

Eugene (Gene) Propp, of Highland Park, formerly of Evanston, age 104, born March 13, 1921, died peacefully on August 30, 2025. Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Guita Liane Propp, neé Rosbac; adored father of Gina Alexis (Bradley Schmarak) Propp-Schmarak and the late Winston Propp; beloved grandfather of Tyler (fiancée Claire Besant) Schmarak and Grant Schmarak; dearest uncle to Carole Propp, Douglas (Rhonda Konarski) Propp and Dennis (Phyllis) Propp; great and grand uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his parents Lillian Propp, née Silverstein and Isaac (Ike) Propp, sisters Selma Gordon, Corinne Nutter, Melba Biggs, Harvina Propp, brother Leslie B. Propp, sister-in-law Eileen Propp, and great nephew Dillon Propp.

Funeral arrangements will be private. A celebration of a remarkable life will be held at a later date.
