Herbert A. Loeb III, 93, of Highland Park IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Chicago, IL; beloved husband of Sally (Livingston) Loeb and loving father of Hillary Singer (the late Neal) and Sallyan Pelletier (Stephen). Cherished grandfather of Reid and Dean Singer and Tommy and Robbie Pelletier. Devoted son of the late Herbert A. Loeb Jr. and Minnabel Loeb; caring brother of John W. (Joan) Loeb and the late Joan Hiller; dear brother-in-law of Frank (late Harriet) and Pat (late Fred) Livingston. Graduate of Francis W. Parker School and University of Michigan. Herbie worked for the family business, Hillman’s, Inc. He also worked at Wanzer Dairy, a Division of Southland Corp. Herbie filled his life with hobbies. He had a lifelong passion for photography, travel, music, history, and tennis. He was an avid Chicago sports fan. Herbie and Sally shared a love of antiquing. An Army veteran and longstanding member of Lake Shore Country Club, he was devoted to the Medical Research Institute Council, of which he was a longtime chairman. Services are private.
