Ilene Lewis, 82, of Northbrook passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Alan “Bobby” Lewis, and cherished mother of Rebecca Lewis and Jason (Sarah) Lewis.
Ilene was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many near and far. A woman of warmth, wisdom, and boundless love, she lit up every room she entered. As a teacher for over a decade, she inspired and shaped the lives of countless students with compassion and dedication. Her quiet strength and unwavering support carried her family through life’s many challenges. Her loved ones — family, friends, and cherished pets — were at the very heart of her world. A dedicated member of her community, she took pride in her many years with the BJBE temple.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 1:00 pm at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home. Shiva will be held directly after the service at the funeral home.
