Jay graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then began his sixteen-year career with Whole Foods Market chopping lettuce & vegetables in the prep-food area. He quickly moved on to a variety of positions within the organization. His latest position was Principal Category Merchant responsible for the Hot Bar and Salad Bar for the entire company along with responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic & Southeast Regions. He was very passionate about his work! With his background as a gourmet chef, he created amazing Sunday dinners for his daughter Madelyn and brother Michael. He always included his beloved dog Bobo whose favorite entrée was the organic rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods Market. An avid cyclist, he spent many hours riding along the lakefront from Evanston to downtown Chicago. He had a green thumb and had many beautiful plants to show for it. Most of all, he was a wonderful son, brother and father. He will be deeply missed by all.
