Joyce Spinner

Joyce was born on May 17, 1941 to Harold and Marcella Ortegel (Schneider). A long time resident of Wilmette IL, Joyce attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from New Trier High School in 1959. She attended beauty school and pursued a much fulfilling career as a hairdresser. Joyce was married to Douglas C. Spinner (deceased 2021) on September 16, 1961 and they had three children ( Gregory, Cynthia, and Steven). A member of St. Joseph parish, Joyce served as president of the Women's Club for several years beginning in 1987. She volunteered for various youth scouting programs and also belonged to the National T.T.T. Society.

In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed gardening, golfing, and bowling. She also loved animals and cherished time spent with her dogs throughout the years.

Joyce is survived by her sister (Janet), children ( Gregory, Cynthia, Steven), grandchildren (Richard, Kimberly, Kevin, Courtney, Zach, Alex, Samantha and great grandchildren ( Leilani, Brooklyn, Kal)

Funeral Services will be held on June 22, 2024 1pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmette IL.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Skokie IL.
