Marc,   My sincere condolences.  We all share your loss and your grief.  Your Dad, Laurie, was a special person who left a permanent, positive impact on those of us fortunate enough to have spent significant time at camp, especially those who were lucky enough to spend time on staff.  He did so in a unique way.  Laurie preferred to stay in the background allowing the Directors, in my case Dan Langell, and counselors to occupy the center stage.  Yet Laurie set the standards and created the healthy and nurturing atmosphere that allowed generations of campers and staff to learn and develop as individuals.  He created a place where we did more than have fun doing activities that we loved.   Indeed, camp became  a place where we had the opportunity to learn to live in harmony with others and to grow without fear of repercussions.  For those of us who were lucky enough to stay for awhile, we learned that while Laurie preferred to stay out of the limelight, he was available for wise counsel when needed.  He also had a very dry sense of humor.  It takes a person with real self-confidence to be able to stay back and allow others to learn and grow on their own when they have the power and ability to impose their own solutions.  Laurie was such a person.   Although I have been separated from both Laurie and Dan, with one notable exception, for many years, they are never far from my thoughts.  May Laurie's memory be for a blessing.  I was blessed to know him and to work with and for him.

The funeral was a beautiful event that really provided a loving son's history of a cherished and loved father.  I was touched me to core, and I am so sad for your personal loss.  You summarized your father's remarkable life with compassion and love.  Thank you for bringing back all of those memories.  I have known you and your family for more that 50 years and I am honored to call you my friend.

I only met Mr. Seeger a couple times and each time I could see that there was a very rich and interesting story behind this sweet grandfatherly face...I guess the thing that spoke to me more than anything was the devotion his son, Marc, my friend, had for him...the love the son felt for the father was a testimony of the kind of man and father Mr. Seeger was. Marc was always attentive to his dad and gave him the best gift anyone child could give to a parent, his time.  Marc spent time with his dad and you could see the bond between them was special.  Mr. Seeger, a life well-lived and a legacy carried on through a son, well-loved.

We just wanted to send you our love and support.  When I think of your  Dad, I always remember his great smile and his kindness and how much he and my mom were so close and loved each other.  I know she would be there with you if she could. 
You were so blessed to be with your Dad for all this time .

Larry is an outstanding human being. I knew Larry from Scouts / Order of the Arrow.  In conversation he had the gift of simultaneously seeming ageless yet deeply wise from experience. What a joy were such conversations.
