
Lillian E. Cook, nee Hork, 95, of Chicago, ended her journey on earth on April 3, 2015 and was re-united with the love of her life, Robert L. Cook. She was born June 27, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of Hyman and Bessie (Sapoznik) Hork. On May 7, 1939, she was married to Robert L. Cook in Chicago. They were married for 68 years. He preceeded her in death on June 7, 2007. Lillian worked as a secretary for a law firm in Chicago. She helped with her husband's business, Cook Scrap Iron and Metal Company, and raised her three children. Lillian loved to be with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, she loved to play cards, Mah Jongg, and do crossword puzzles. She was very active in Open Hearts for Retarded Children in Skokie, IL. Survivors include her children: Judith Schrager, Seattle, WA; Sheila (Roger) Baran, Chilton, WI; and Randi Luckman, Wheeling, IL. She has 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Hork, Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Ruth Robbins (David), one brother, David (Anne) Hork, and one grandchild, Deborah Schrager. Lillian's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Mildred Suner for taking such good care of our mother for the last several years. Graveside service Weds, 1 PM, at Shalom Memorial Park , 1700 W. Rand Rd. (enter off of Wilke Rd.), Arlington Heights.
