

On May 29, 2021, Lorraine Bauer Serota (age 87) reunited with her parents (Isadore and Sarah) and her sister (Mildred Loman). A beloved wife of Harry for 64 years; loving mother of Sharon (Stephen) Berkowitz, Steven (Elgie) Serota and Carole Serota-Bodi (Glenn); adored grandmother of Rhiannon (Andrew) Wilson, Kristin (Chris) Gurley, Brian (Annie) Allred, Jaclyn Bodi, and Natalie Serota; doting great-grandmother of Adyson, Braden, Amelia, Charles, Jaxson, Liam and Gwendolyn. Affectionate dog lover of many, including Lhasa. Lorraine attended Sullivan High School, graduated from the Michael Reese School of Nursing, and later earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. As a RN, her employment included the Chicago Public Health Department, Martha Washington Hospital, and then a doctor's office. She was so proud to work until she was 80. Lorraine greatly enjoyed being in charge of Hospitality for the Scottie Club for many years.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 4, 1 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
