Muriel Fohrman

Muriel Leff Fohrman of Highland Park, passed away on August 19th, 2023, as she approached her 98th birthday. Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney. Devoted mother of Phyllis (the late Robert) Rosch, Monica, Linda (Steve) Schneider, and April Singer; beloved grandmother of Stephanie Rosch, Caroline (Jason) Rosch Hoover, Elisabeth (Jordan) Karlik, and Jordyn (Jordan) Gross; great grandmother of Dylan, Cole, Sawyer, and Harper. Muriel will be missed by many nieces and nephews, including those of her late sisters, Jewell Schaps and Janet Bernstein.

Her life was defined by her family and daily calls with friends from high school with whom she played Mah jongg for 50 years. She was a teacher, librarian, traveler and a fan of listening to the Cubs on the radio.
