Philip L. Porter

Philip L. Porter of Glenview Philip Porter was born on July 18, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He died, Sunday, August 25, 2013 peacefully at home. Phil worked as a pharmacist for many years beginning his career in his family owned store in Wilmette, Illinois. Phil enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, travel and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauren and Mildred, an infant sister Kathleen, his sister Dolly Hughes and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife Donna of 56 years; his loving children Kathleen Porter of Glenview, Philip K. (Deborah) Porter of Austin, Texas and Mike (Jackie) Porter of Rolling Meadows; his cherished grandchildren Heloise (Miguel) Millan, Kathleen, Bryan and Heather Porter; dear sister Patricia Athanas of Highland Park; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013, 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, 600 Ninth Street, Wilmette, IL 60091.
