Phillip G. Peters, 69 years young, and resident of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. Phil was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife Bertha (nee Cohen), his daughters Heather (Glynn) Bricker, Mollye Peters, Marcy Peters, Sandra (Christopher) Marr, his grandson Alexander Bricker, and his brother Robert (Lakshmi) Peters. Phil grew up in East Gary, Indiana, graduated from River Forest High School in 1967, and attended the University of Chicago as a member of Phi Gamma Delta. Phil began his career working at Fel-Pro Inc. in Skokie, Illinois. Then, ultimately followed his dream of becoming a general contractor and business owner. Phil had many passions, including music, painting, and rescuing animals. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife. He was a highly skilled craftsman. He was an extremely supportive father and had the best “dad jokes” in town. Phil took every opportunity to share his knowledge and passions with friends and loved ones. Services will be held at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, Illinois 60091 at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Interment at Jewish Waldheim Cemetery to follow.
