Phyllis is survived by her son Sanford Siegel, daughter-in-law Kim Siegel, her sons Richard, Ryan (Sarah); her daughter Sharon Nichols (the late Rob); and her cherished grandchildren Joshua Nichols and Anna Nichols.
Phyllis was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. She devoted the early years of her life to raising her children, then began a long and meaningful career at Northwestern University, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched countless lives.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL. Following the service, the family will proceed to the cemetery for her interment beside her lifelong love, Marvin.
Shiva will be observed from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 4999 Old Orchard Rd, Skokie, IL. All are welcome.
