Ralf Rockford Seiffe

Ralf Rockford Seiffe, 58, of Wilmette passed away suddenly September 1, 2011. Husband of 28 years to Elizabeth Blatz, father of Rhys and Reiker Seiffe. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Seiffe, and survived by his mother, Joann Howells and his two brothers, Roger and Christopher Seiffe. Ralf graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1976, and was initiated into the Sigma Chi Fraternity. His career began as a senior lending officer for the former Fidelity-Philadelphia Trust Company. In 1980, he and Roger established Mail Sort, Inc., a mailing services company in the Chicago area. Mr. Seiffe won the USPS’s Industry Excellence Award and, in 1989, marshaled the team that created ElectroCom Mail Systems. Since 2002, Ralf concentrated on developing private start-ups as an investor or as an early stage manager. Memorial visitation on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Wm. H.
