Regina "Gina" Lynn Silverman. Beloved wife of Martin "Marty", of blessed memory, devoted mother of Tracey (David) Becker and Amy Silverman, doting YiaYia of Molly and Samantha, dear sister of Edward (Judith) Cohen, and warmhearted aunt, cousin, and friend to so many around the world. Gina grew up in 'the sticks' of Pennsylvania and enjoyed rural adventures with her family. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, married, and practiced as an RN (with pediatrics and cystic fibrosis as favorite areas in which to make an impact) until she and Marty began their family. Then, she consistently held roles with the PTA, the GBN CTPO, and researched, educated and advocated for students considered gifted and talented. She loved animals and counted rabbits, chicks, and 4 dogs as pets. Gina was known for her kindness and compassion; she always put family first. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
