Sherwin Siegel, 78 years old, of Lake Forest passed away on February 4, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary Schwartz Siegel; devoted father of Marty Siegel, Lisa (Ari) Mintzer, and Brad (Mandy) Siegel; proud grandfather of Ben Mintzer, Elly Siegel, Jacob Mintzer, Evan Mintzer, Brody Siegel and Teddy Siegel; loving brother of Louis (Shelly) Siegel and brother-in-law of Thomas (Barb) Schwartz; son of the late Jack and Belle Siegel and son-in-law of the late Harry and Hildred Schwartz; treasured uncle of many nieces and nephews. Sherwin Siegel was raised in Waukegan, Illinois and graduated from Waukegan High School, class of 1961 and Bradley University with a B.S. in Business, class of 1965. For over 40 years, he founded and ran a commercial real estate appraisal firm, S. Siegel & Associates, Ltd., in Chicago and Deerfield. Sherm, as he was known by friends, had a deep love of the outdoors, fishing, jogging, sports and many rounds of golf as a member of Briarwood Country Club.
