Stephen Martin Taxe, 84, of Northbrook. Beloved husband for 48 years of Alyce Taxe; fond cousin of Marty (late Joyce) Taxe; cherished son of the late Eugene and Sally Taxe; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews; caring nephew of the late Sam and Edith Cohen.
Mr. Taxe worked for the IRS after graduating with a law degree and then went on to work for the Public Defenders Office and eventually founding his own Criminal Defense practice.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091.
