

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Carmen G. Ayala. Carmen was born on June 9, 1924 in El Paso, Texas and returned home to our Lord on April 4, 2015. Carmen attended the “Little School House”, in Terminal Island and lived her youth in San Pedro, CA until she married her Banning High School sweetheart Henry P. Ayala in 1942. They began their family roots in Wilmington, CA and were blessed with 64 wonderful years together. Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Henry P. Ayala, her parents Tomas and Cruz Gonzalez and her son-in-law William Rodriquez. She is survived by her three children, Lydia Zamora (Sal), Stella Rodriguez, Thomas Louis Ayala (Maria), her only sibling Tomas Gonzalez (Rosie), along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great- great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Carmen will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Rosary will begin promptly at 7:00 P.M., at Funeraria del Angel McNerney’s Mortuary in Wilmington. A funeral mass will be held at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wilmington on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., with internment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
