Gerardo D. Galvan, of Wilmington, CA, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2017 at the age of 99 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 2, 1917 in Hurley, New Mexico, Gerardo is preceded in death by his sons: Leonard & Anthony and is survived by his wife of 73 years: Julia: Children: Richard, Arthur, Louis, Virginia, James (Charlotte), Peter (Pauline) and Stephen (Dawn Renee). He leaves his legacy on this earth through his 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren, also survived by several nephews, nieces, great nephews & nieces. Viewing and Rosary will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Wilmington at 1640 N. Avalon Blvd. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m. at 1011 East "L" Street, Wilmington, CA. Interment to follow immediately at All Souls Cemetery 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807. Know that you will be greatly missed and though you are not here with us you will forever be in our hearts. The music you loved so mush hasn't stopped, it is just truly beginning. Love you Dad.
