Luz Revilla David was born to Jose and Teofista Revilla on February 14, 1918. She was born and raised in San Miguel Bulacan Philippines. She went to school in San Miguel and continued to pursue and compete in education and Far Eastern University in Manila. She also studied for three years in a music conservatory.
Luz was the ultimate socialite being a muse and FEU and a Celia Club Member. Luz was a great singer, if records and CD's were available, we certainly would enjoy her musicality during her prime. She married her only love, Romulo David, on June 16, 1945. She proudly raised 6 boys and 1 girl. She was widowed in 1969.
Although she had a degree in education, she taught school for only 1 year. Her love for business kept her busy for many years. In 1978, she immigrated to America with her children and worked at Matrix Science Corporation for 20 years. It was hard to convince her to retire at age 72. She enjoyed traveling and continued to entertain especially on her birthday, Valentine's Day.
Luz also loved to picnic and enjoyed outdoor activities and food was always a must. Although she became ill and weak the last few months, shed lived a long and beautiful life. She certainly did not take life for granted and no matter who or what, she was always able to see the positive. I hope that we all remember her this way for she would not live it any other.
