Mrs. Romelia C. Garcia

Our loving Mother and Grandmother, Romelia Cano Garcia passed away peacefully at home Friday, January 25, 2013. She was 77 years old. She was born November 8, 1935 in Mesilla, NM to Luis and Clara Cano. She grew up in Mesilla, NM and moved with her family to California in the 1950’s. She was married to Raymond B. Garcia October 4, 1958. In 1965 they purchased their house in Carson, CA, where they raised their family of 4 daughters.

She is preceded in death by her son Raymond B. Garcia Jr., her daughter Valerie Collins and her husband Raymond B. Garcia.

Her daughter Alesia Wilson, husband Scott Wilson, Granddaughter Amanda Wilson and Granddaughter Jennifer Wilson

Sons of her daughter Valerie Collins; Grandsons, John A. Collins Jr. and Mychael A. Collins

Her daughter Christie Brumfield, husband Robert Brumfield, Grandson Robert Dale Brumfield Jr., Grandson Joshua Brumfield, Grandson Matthew Brumfield and Granddaughter Desirae-Ann Brumfield

Romelia’s Viewing and Rosary services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 beginning at 5:00 PM at the Funeraria del Angel McNerney’s Mortuary 1640 N. Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, CA 90744

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel McNerney’s Mortuary 1640 N. Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, CA 90744

Graveside internment will be at All Souls Cemetery 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807 following the service at McNerney’s Mortuary at approximately 11:30 AM.

A reception to honor Romelia will be held at the family home in Carson, at the conclusion of all the services.
