Alma Hales Brown, 98, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Britt Haven North Chase, Wilmington, NC. She was born May 18, 1914, in Wadesboro, NC, the daughter of the late William Vann and Mary Eason Hales. Alma was the widow of Alan L. Brown. She is survived by son, Forrest Brown (Paulette), of Columbia, SC. Brother-in-Law, Tom Brown (Betty),of Wilmington, granddaughter Wendi Roderick (Brad), great grand children Evey and Dallas King, Holly Springs NC, nieces Dorothy Tyson and Linda Bagwell of Wilmington, NC. A private service will be held at a later date.
