There are no words to describe what the world lost. Amanda was the funniest, most energetic, beautiful girl in the world. She loved everyone around her with all her heart. She would have stopped the world to help a friend. Amanda was employed at DDT and FiFi in the mall and was also a Volunteer Firefighter for the Northwest Volunteer Fire Dept. in Leland, NC. Amanda loved the beach, hunting, fishing, mud bogging and most of all her family and friends. She had many friends and loved them all. Amanda lived to help people and even though she is no longer with us she lives on in us and in those she will have saved with her organ donations.
Amanda was preceded in death by her loving Uncle “Joey” Canady, her amazing step brother Wesley Platt, her great grandparents Dorothy Smith, Delmar Batson and Edith and Roy Canady.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her parents “Quincy” Platt, Jr., Amy Canady Platt and her little brother Zachary Tyler Platt or “Bubba” as he was lovingly named by his sissy.
Also, left with millions of memories are Amanda’s grandparents Joe and Shelby Canady of Leland, NC, her granma Faye Whisenhunt and Noah Evans(special friend) of Wilmington, NC, Uncle Randy Canady, Kristen, Lil Randy and Victoria , Uncle Preston and Lil PJ, Aunt Wendy and Chris Wright, there children Hunter, Lil Nelson and Brandy Galen, Aunt Marion and Jessica Canady. In addition to her immediate family are many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also, sharing in our loss is her very special friend Ryan Ramsey and his parents April and Finn and entire Ramsey Family.
