Averille Geraldine Boodoosingh

Averille Geraldine Boodoosingh, born on July 25, 1933, in Trinidad, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Leland, North Carolina.

Averille lived a long and meaningful life, rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to her family. Born in Trinidad, she carried with her a rich cultural heritage and strong family values that remained central throughout her life. Later residing in Leland, North Carolina, she continued to touch the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Victor; her parents, Esmond and Agnes; her daughter, Joanne; her grandson, Leon; her great-granddaughter, Sophia; and her siblings, Rosalind and Alexander.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Jenny-Lynne, Wendy, Michael, and Gillian; mother in law to Glenford, Howard and Leslie; her cherished grandchildren, Tamara (Terrence), Mario (Rebecca), Wendell (Kelly), Greg (Victoria), Gary, Ayanna, Kara, Craig (Jovan), Leah, and Caryn; her beloved great-grandchildren, Kayla, Keegan, Khali, Nolan, Julian, Alexia, Shyiem, Jaziri, Kaylia, Ahniyah, Matthew, Zara, Naomi, Gia, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Moriah, Gabby, Eliana, Alora, Hannah, Cooper and Cheyanne and her treasured great-great-grandchildren, Kameron and Dahlani.

She is also fondly remembered by her niece, Sonia (Tony), and nephew, Peter, as well as her extended family; Boodoosingh, Sinanan, Kalloo, Harracksingh, Battoo, Adimoolah, Kangaloo and Namsoo families, and many dear friends.

Averille will be remembered for her compassion, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and in the generations that follow.

A private service will be held in her honor.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the life of Averille and the love she shared with us. Though our hearts are heavy, we trust in Your promise in Psalm 34 :18 that You are close to the brokenhearted. Comfort us with Your peace, strengthen us in the days ahead, and help us cherish the memories of Averille.
