Betty married Dolan Odell Norris, Sr., on August 1, 1960. He passed away on December 17, 1990. She married her second husband, James Edward Branson, on October 5, 1991. He passed away in July 2012.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Donnie and Mitchell Norris; 3 step-children, Johnnie, Kelli and Melanie Branson; her sister, Kitty Hales, niece and nephew Christy Hales Jones and Dean Hales, 3 grandchildren, Dakota Norris, Madison Lanier and Connor Norris.
Her family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, aides and assistants at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for all their help and support.
