He was born November 1, 1944, in Wilmington, NC, to the late Neil Conrad Thomas and Flossie Yopp Thomas.
Cecil was a Vietnam veteran and was known to be hard working, kind hearted and well respected. He loved his sons and grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Chris, Cliff, Chad and Chance; siblings, James and Janice and grandchildren, Cody, Catelyn, Chase and Amelia.
The family will receive visitors, beginning at 1pm, Monday, March 8, at Topsail Presbyterian Church in Hampstead, followed by a graveside service, at 2pm, in the church cemetery.
