Daisy Lee Potter

Daisy Lee Potter, age 91, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Daisy was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and attended New Hanover High School. She married the love of her life in 1947 and spent the next 20 years as an Army wife, living in Austria and Germany as well as multiple states in the United States. They settled in their hometown of Wilmington, NC upon her husband's retirement from the U.S. Army in 1965.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Needham T. Potter, son Michael David Potter, mother Ida S. Rivenbark, grandchildren: Shelley Marie Horne, Melissa Renee Horne, and David Thomas Horne Jr.

She is survived by daughters: Debra Horne and Karen Wiggins (Michael) of Wilmington, NC; Grandchildren: Brandon Wiggins (Heather) and Jason Wiggins (Maria) of Wilmington, NC; Great-grandchildren: Alex Roberts, Aaron Thigpen, Ethan Thigpen (Morgan), Tyler Horne, Alyson Horne, and Alice Wiggins; Great-great-grandchildren: Elijah Horne and Evie and Myla Thigpen.

A visitation for Daisy will be held from 10:30am to 11:30 on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:30am at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
