He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack C. Rupert and Cecelia Rupert, his sister: Connie Rupert, and his brother: Ted Rupert.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Rupert, 5 daughters: Melissa Frear of Kentucky, Danielle Grady and her husband, Adam, Kristen Rupert, Kerri Rupert, Jennifer Hatten and one son: Edward Hatten and his wife: Crystal Hatten, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandson: Remi, his brother: Frederick "John" Rupert and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the United States Airforce during Vietnam. He retired from Miller Brewery and was a custodian at the elementary school in Pulaski, NY.
He loved the New York Giants and Syracuse University sports. He never met a stranger and always had a joke.
He was an active member of the VFW in Pulaski, NY and the Amvets in Zephyrhills, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
