Dorothy Phillips Pepper Chauncey

DOROTHY PHILLIPS PEPPER CHAUNCEY (Mama Dot - Meme Dot) Dorothy (Dot) Chauncey, 86, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014. She was born on January 28, 1928 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Norman Henry Phillips Sr. and Beulah McGee Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Houston Pepper. She is survived by her sons, Roger Houston Pepper (Debbie), William Mark Pepper (Donna) and daughter Donna Pepper Rowland (Ray). Grandchildren, Christopher Pepper, Angela Pepper Thompson, Gregory Pepper, Eric Donehew, Michael Pepper, Lauren Pepper, Steven Pepper and Kevin Rowland. Dot was employed by New Hanover County Schools for 25 years and a member of Masonboro Baptist Church. She loved her family and loved to cook. She was never happier than when her children and grandchildren were all gathered at her home. She also loved Masonboro Sound, Carolina Beach, and going to neighborhood yard sales. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Andrews Valley Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at Masonboro Baptist Church Cemetery.
