Earl James Woodcock

He was born in Rocky Point, NC on March 11, 1932, the son of the late Leslie James Woodcock and Marie Wallace Woodcock. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Yates Woodcock, and his six siblings.

Earl served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956.  He loved his career as a traveling salesman for J. W. Murchinson’s for over thirty years. Earl was an active member of Peace Baptist Church until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, old cars, and spending time at his home at the beach.

Surviving are his three sons, Kevin Charles (Kelly), Ronald James (Gayle), and Leslie Earl (Dana); four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17th at Peace Baptist Church, 320 Military Cutoff in Wilmington by Pastor Rudy Shepard. Visitation will be held at 10:00am and the service will be at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the local DAV (Disabled American Veterans) chapter in Wilmington or Peace Baptist Church in Earl's memory.
