Eleanor Stevens Edwards of Wilmington, NC died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Britthaven of North Chase. She was born in Wake County, NC on October 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Marie Allen Stevens and Clarence Lorenzo Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwards and her son, Michael Edwards. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was an avid tennis player and she loved to dance. Surviving are three brothers, Edwin Stevens and wife Donna of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Gene Stevens and wife Judy of Lompoc, California, and Carl Ray Stevens and wife Anne of Wilmington, North Carolina; and one granddaughter, Amanda Edwards of Wilmington, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
