She was born June 10, 1930 in Manning, SC.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Mary Lou Doughty (John) of Manning, SC, Estelle Lemon of Wilmington, NC, Helena Lemon of Manning, SC and Emma Davis (Harold) of Manning, SC, her brothers: Earl Lemon (Pauline) of Opa-Locka, Florida and Leroy Lemon (Lucille) (Carlessia) of Manquin, Virginia, her mother: Sarah Calhoun Lemon of Claraton County, SC, her dad: Earl Lemon and her daughter: Rebecca "Banky" Ann Lemon of Wilmington, NC.

She is survived by her son: Jessie Lemon (Margaret) of Huntersville, NC, her granddaughters: Shauna Lemon Willis (Jimmie) of Leland, NC and Tatiyana Hill of Winnabow, NC, her grandsons: Jamar Lemon (Cortni) of Leland, NC, Shawron Lemon of Wilmington, NC, Matthew Jace Lemon and Mario Michaels of Huntersville, NC, and her greatgranchildren: Travis Lemon of Wilmington, NC, Xavier Lemon of Wilmington, NC, Kendall Lemon of Wilmington, NC, Julian Lemon of Leland, and Carrie Jenae Lemon of Leland, NC.

A memorial service for Ella will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina 28412.
