Evelyn H Fowler

Evelyn H. Fowler, 79, of Wilmington, entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, August 13, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Jentry and Mary Rose Hunter. She attended Pine Valley Church of God for many years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Fowler and a son, Ricky Ryan Fowler.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Eddie Joe Fowler and Thomas Ray Fowler; daughters, Patricia Rose Fowler, Sandra Joy Hamel, Belinda Gail Hammonds; brother, Alton Hunter; sisters, Becky Turlington and Shirley Anders; her special Guardian Angel, Traci Fowler DeBose. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Joseph Fowler and wife, Tammy, Jamie Fowler and wife, Kimberly, Traci DeBose and husband, Melvin, Kim Roderick, Tonya Baker and husband, Dustin, Jeffrey Fowler, Jentry Fowler, EJ Fowler, Ethan Fowler; and 12 great grandchildren, Cameron, Alison, Ruby, Virginia, Fowler, Austin, Dalyn, Lena, Dallas, Faith, Jack, and Trenton.

Funeral services will be held 1:00p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Oleander Chapel with Rev. J.D. Simmons and Rev. Parthena Skipper officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
