

Frances Harrell Biggs, 80, of Wilmington passed lovingly into her Lord's Hands on Thursday, December 1, 2011. She was born on November 27, 1931 to the late Edgar Stewart Harrell and Ada Mae Turner Harrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Biggs, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Biggs of the home; step son, Bill Volzke and his wife, Debbie of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Edna Wells(late Donoven Wells), Doris Musselwhite(Robert), Mildred Aldridge(John), all of Wilmington; five grandsons, five great grandsons, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frances graduated from New Hanover High School in 1952. She was employed with Blocks Shirt Factory and France Neck Wear before her retirement. She loved her church and growing her flowers. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She always exuded a loving smile to all that she met. She leaves behind many who loved her and cherished her everyday, including her loving dog, "Mika". Frances was a charter member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington with Rev. Phil Ortago officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Musselwhite, Jr., Mike Musselwhite, Randy Musselwhite, Curtis Reese, Jerry Biggs, Jr., Tyler Klee, and Steve Suek.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
