She was born February 11, 1946 in Elizabeth City to the late William E. Jones Sr. and Virginia Garrette Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William E. Jones Jr. (Billy) and John Paul Jones.
Gail graduated from Central High School in 1964 in Elizabeth City and also from the College of the Albemarle’s Associate Degree Nursing Program in 1973. She was a retired Registered Nurse, having served in many capacities in her career.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick LaCroix; daughter, Amy Brite and two grandsons, Will Mercer and Tyler Brite, all of Wilmington; and two sisters, Annette Reel of Elizabeth City and Brenda Williams of Kenly.
Memorial Services will be private.
The family requests memorial donations are made in Gail’s name to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412.
