Gale Ganey Morgan

Gale Ganey Morgan passed away peacefully in her sleep at Lower Cape Fear Hospice after a recent series of medical setbacks following a hip replacement. She was preceeded by her parents "Billy" & Vera Ganey as well as her sons Jeff & Josh.

Originally from Leland NC, she resided in Wilmington and Kernersville before returning to Leland NC where she eventually retired from Almont Shipping. Family and Faith were the core of her being; her love of both formed the guiding principles of her life. She served as well as volunteered in various positions/committees at Sunset Park Baptist Church in Wilmington NC and Edgewood Baptist Church in Winston-Salem NC.

An outgoing personality, Gale loved nothing more than spending time and laughing with Family and Friends. Gale's mind was always inquisitive and curious about the world around her. This curiousity manifested itself in a love of travel throughout the US with her husband Cam. Gale was an avid reader, gardener, and amateur chef and always wanted to try something new.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years Cameron Morgan of Leland NC and her remaining son Joel Morgan of Cary NC.

Visitation will be held from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Hugh Folds and Dr. Scott Pace Officiating.

Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409.
