A native of Halifax County Virginia he was the son of the late George and Marie DeJarnette Hubbard.
Mike graduated from Halifax County High School and attended Phillips Business College. He held positions as a cost accountant at several furniture manufacturing companies through the years before joining Microtech as Chief Financial Officer. In 2013 he retired and moved to Wilmington, North Carolina returning to an area he loved and where he had enjoyed many happy times. Mike served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam conflict.
He is survived by his brother David Hubbard and wife Linda, his sister Brenda Clements and husband Carlyle and one nephew Page Clements.
Andrews Mortuary of Wilmington is in charge of arrangements.
