Howard Earl (Rooster) Brookshire Jr passed away on Saturday June 30, 2018. He was born in Boone NC on November 25, 1937 to Howard E Brookshire Sr and Gladys Cook Brookshire. He was a resident of Carolina Beach, NC. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rooster is survived by his wife, Sherry Farnsworth Brookshire, daughter Elaine Wessel of Asheville NC; son Howard E (Pat) Brookshire III and wife Regina of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Judy Parsons of Morganton, NC; step-daughter and caregiver Leanne Womack of Carolina Beach and step-son Brian Womack and wife Tammy of Vale NC. Also surviving are his grandchildren, William, Charles and Sarah Brookshire of Cincinnati, OH and Austin Womack of Waco, NC.
Family will receive friends at their residence on Saturday July 7, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm.
A private burial will follow.
