Howard L Johnson

He was born in Wrightsboro, NC, the son of the late Eddie Bascom Johnson Sr. and Rosa Etta Burton Johnson. Also remembered is his son, Scott Johnson who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two children, Doug Johnson and wife Rhonda, and Cindy Merck; his siblings, Eddie Johnson and wife Robbie, Henry Johnson and wife Barbara, Bill Johnson and wife Jane, Paul Johnson and wife Elisha, Jerry Johnson and wife Sheila, Janice Stubbs and husband Danny, Martha Summerlin and husband JC, Sylvia Jones and husband Ashley, Arnold Johnson and wife Glenda , and Rosa Webb and husband Steve; and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2019 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church followed by a committal ceremony at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to express a special note of thanks to Sheriff’s Department-Project Life Savior. The staff at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center for all their aid and care for Howard and to his caregivers, Donald Cayton, Kenneth Merck and Cindy Merck.
