James Benjamin Dobson

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Blackwelder Dobson and his second wife, Jessie Chauncey Dobson.

James Dobson is survived by his daughter, Donna M. Cox and her husband Linwood of Leland, NC.; stepson, Steve Chauncey and wife Lynna of Wallace, NC; granddaughter, Katrina Jones and husband Keny of Leland and grandson Chris Jones of Woodleaf, NC; great-grandchildren: Joshua Jones of Leland and Savannah Wright and husband River of Fayetteville, NC; great-great grandson, Zane Wright and step grandson, Stevie Chauncey; step granddaughters, Samantha Darling of Rocky Point, NC; Sara Darling of Wallace, NC; Lauren Byrd and husband Justin of Clinton, NC; step great-great grandson Carson Chauncey; and step great-great granddaughter Anniston Byrd.

A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Elah Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Long officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Nelson Cemetery with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
