Janet Elizabeth Marshall

Janet Elizabeth Marshall (Allen) passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.  She was the daughter of John Pierce Thomas Allen of Wilmington, NC, and the late Audrey Allen.

Janet is survived by her daughter Shannon Elizabeth Marshall (James Grainger) and her granddaughter Roslyn Joan of Leland, NC, her aunt and uncle Mary and Thomas Bartel of Middletown, NJ, her sisters Susan (Avery) Currie of Greer, SC, Nancy Kurlander of Newburgh, NY, Diane (Paul) O’Heron of Binghamton, NY, Linda (Joseph Jr.) Lomanoco of Irondequoit, NY.  Janet is also survived by several cousins: the Allen siblings of Florida, New York State, and Pennsylvania, the Muirhead siblings of Georgia, Virginia, the Brown siblings of Texas, Connecticut, and New York, the Bartel siblings of New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts, the Schiebel siblings of Massachusetts and New York, the Smith siblings of Vermont and Hawaii.  Janet had many friends in New York and North Carolina, with special and deep connections at ATP Fitness and PPD, and was the special aunt to many of her friends’ children and grandchildren.

Janet’s family would like to extend special thanks to the health care professionals at the Zimmer Center (NHRMC), Lower Cape Fear Hospice, and the LifeCare Hospice facility.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel at 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC.  Afterwards, the family will receive friends at 7405 Foxwerth Drive, Wilmington, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Burial will be private.
