Jerry Lee Hill, Sr.
Jerry Lee Hill, Sr. passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the age of 75. Jerry was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. The Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach Fire Departments were a second home to Jerry for a combined tenure of 30 years, until his retirement.
Jerry was the son of Oscar Hill, Sr. and Annie Belle Hill, both deceased. He was the youngest of three brothers – Eugene Hill, deceased, and his eldest brother, Oscar Hill, Jr., who passed away eight days after Jerry. Jerry’s brothers were two of his best friends and blessed his life with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a sincere thank you to Jerry’s many friends that he leaves behind. Those who were there for him to offer support and to make countless fun memories through the years were so important to him. Jerry is survived by his only child, and pride and joy, Jerry Lee Hill, Jr. (J.J.), daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hill, and his beloved grandson, Dehn Stephen Hill.
