John Robert (Bob) Aubry

On February 21, 2018, John Robert (Bob) Aubry, age 87, passed away at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care in Wilmington, NC. He was born on September 14, 1930, in Biarritz, France to Charles and Jeanne Aubry.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela Ann Capobianco Aubry, and his parents.

Bob is survived by his son, Scott K. Aubry, his dear sister, Sarah Hassler, her children, Chuck Hassler and Jeff Hassler, and faithful and loving in-laws, Barbara Jensen, Carol Hostinak, and Bill Capobianco. From a previous marriage, he is also survived by two sons and their spouses: Will and Andrea Aubry, and John Aubry, Jr. and Mary Jeanne Kuhar, as well as grandchildren, Tess Aubry, Meg Aubry, Michael Aubry, and Joseph Aubry.

Bob lived in many places prior to moving to Leland, NC including Montclair, Verona, and North Caldwell, NJ. Bob proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict after which he attended Duke University., where he majored in Economics and French. As a sales executive, Bob was well respected in the packaging industry. As friends and family can attest, Bob loved golf as well as all things Duke!

A funeral service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.

His family would like to thank the staff at Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their compassionate care and superior support.
