He was born in Baltimore, MD on September 2, 1920, son of the late John Henry Wolfe, Sr. and Mary Rodgers Wolfe.
Mr. Wolfe was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University; recently having attended the 75th Class Reunion. He was a WW II Veteran having served in the United States Navy. In Southport, he was known as “Pop Wolfe”. He volunteered with the elementary schools, and the Sea Oats Planting program. He enjoyed bicycling until he was 96 years old, and loved coaching soccer and being near the water.
Surviving are his children, Barbara W. Zea (Rudy), Jeffrey B. Wolfe, James Dennis Wolfe (Trisha), Gregory J. Wolfe (Bonnie), Laura Wolfe Krushinski (Marc), and John H. “Jay” Wolfe, III (Lori); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Barnes Wolfe. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Wolfe and a sister, Elizabeth Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 1, 2018, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
