John Steve Register, 63 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was born October 22, 1945 to the late John Elmer Register and Darcus Marie Alford Register. Steve was a professional Mechanical Engineer and was retired from General Electric Aircraft Engine Group with 28 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Vietnam War. Steve is survived by his wife, Annette Wells Register; daughter Paula Lee and two grandchildren, Tyler Lee and Katie Lee. Two bothers, Jimmy Register and Dale Register and a sister, Glenda Kimberly. A private memorial ceremony will be held. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to the New Hanover County Humane Society.
