Joseph Oliver Mintz

Joe was born in Brunswick County on July 16, 1926, son of the late Addie Viola Mintz and Oliver Jennings Mintz. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Moore Mintz; two brothers, Herbert Mintz and E. G. Mintz

Joe is survived by his son; Kenneth Oliver Mintz of Wilmington, NC; Cynthia Ann Mintz of Lillington, NC; grandchild, Anna Nicole McGary; great grandchild, Adrien Lewis McKeithan; sister, Viola Shew; brother, Tylon Mintz and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was a member of Sunset Park Baptist Church and served as a greeter for many years. He retired from Babcock and Wilcox in Wilmington, NC and was the owner of Wrightsboro Motors in Castle Hayne, NC.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.

Funeral Service will be at 3:00pm with Pastor Wrotten officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
